Obie has a fantastic rapport with the staff and children, who love his sessions. In year 1 he brought literacy and science to life – with a measurable improvement in the quality and range of children’s vocabulary use in speaking and writing. He has also led an after school forest skills club for a term and is currently leading an Art club using his superb Art skills to work with natural materials. Obie is a talented teacher whose enthusiasm is contagious – he is easy going ,flexible and slotted superbly into our team. Every one learns as they have fun in Obie’s sessions!

Obie has led Forest school sessions in our two Reception classes each week for the last term and it has been absolutely fantastic! The children all thoroughly enjoy the activities and are always really enthusiastic. The sessions are varied but we always start off with a short meditation session where the children develop their listening and concentration skills and is helping them learn to be calmer. The other activities covered range from building obstacle courses, creative work using clay and natural resources, and den building. They have also played lots of fun team games which has really improved the children’s social skills and helped raise their self- esteem. All of the activities have a great impact on the children’s physical skills, their communication and language and also on their health and well-being. The children really look forward to their sessions and they have all really developed their skills over the weeks.
Thank you Obie for everything you have done!
